Safety rules

• Sterile single-use needles
• Safe depth over the chest and back (pneumothorax risk)
• Points forbidden in pregnancy: LI4, SP6, BL60, BL67 and the lower abdomen
• Caution with bleeding disorders and pacemakers (electro-acupuncture)
• Always treat lying down to prevent needle fainting
